Welcome to Lambrecht Online Auctions! Once you have registered, all you will need is your user name and password to log-on each time you use the system. Please keep track of your username and password as you will need them each time you log-on. Please read the terms of use for this website as well as the terms for each Auction as they may vary slightly from Auction to Auction. Though live Auctions are still our mainstay, we have developed Lambrecht Online to service clients in our local market in a way that we have never before. We are using this site for three different purposes: Standard Online Auctions, Pre-Bidding, and Absentee Bidding. Standard Online Auctions: Much like other online Auctions, the entire Auction process is handled entirely online. The bidding is closed by the computer, and the computer notifies winning bidders. Standard Online Auctions are the predominate use of this online bidding site. Lambrecht Online works much the same way as other online Auctions, but we have also incorporated several features that are unique to our site. When you go to our online Auctions, and go to the bid screen, you will notice a countdown clock. This tells you the exact time left to bid on an item. During the last 3 minutes, this clock will turn from green to red. If anyone bids during that time, the countdown clock will reset an additional 5 minutes. This feature prevents “snipe bidding” where someone can place a bid in the last second for a penny more and outbid someone else. When the countdown ends without a bid, the item is sold. Also on our bid screen you will notice that the bidding increments are pre-established. There is an incremental table you can read more about on our Faqs page that requires the next bidder to bid at least the pre-set amount, just as if there were an actual Auctioneer. This eliminates being outbid on a $100 item by a penny, a feature of some online sites that we consider ridiculous. Auction Pre-Bidding: This a tool used in conjunction with our live Auctions only if you cannot attend the live Auction. You simply enter your maximum bid and bid against other online bidders, and are able to keep track of your bid’s status against these bidders. Once the online portion of the Auction is closed, the online bids are executed at the live Auction. For example, if you bid $100.00 on an item, the computer will exercise your bid during the online process. If at the end of the online process, another online bidder has bid you up to $60.00, the Auctioneer (at the live Auction) will open the bid at $60.00 and the Auction clerk will exercise your bid up to $100.00. The bidding on an item ends when the Auctioneer sells the item at the live Auction. This tool is used only at our discretion and is available only for certain types of live Auctions. Absentee Bidding: This is a tool used in conjunction with our live Auctions only if you cannot attend the live Auction and is very similar to pre-bidding except that the computer does not exercise the bids competitively. You simply enter your maximum absentee bid and the Auction clerk executes it for you against the live Auction crowd. You are not bidding directly against other online bidders. There is no bid history or competitive bidding except at the live Auction. Again this service is only available for specific live Auctions and may be available for only specific items in that Auction. These Auctions, like our traditional live Auctions, are backed by the experience and integrity accrued over 50+ years in the Auction profession. We will always be committed to the fair and honest treatment of sellers and buyers alike. A great deal of resources have been spent developing and testing this site to be a good mix between actual live Auctions and online Auctions; however, there is bound to be room for improvements.
